DS will launch its all-electric E-Tense supercar at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which promises 402bhp with zero tailpipe emissions.
Promoted as bringing together ‘state-of-the-art technology and avant-garde design’, the two-seat E-Tense has a claimed range of 310km on a mixed cycle, with acceleration of 0-100km in 4.5 seconds, a maximum torque of 516Nm and a top speed of 250km.
The lithium-ion battery will be situated under the car’s chassis, to keep the centre of gravity low and enable even torque distribution between axles.
The supercar will also make full use of digital rear-view technology, with the rear windscreen removed at the back to give the design team a large amount of design freedom in moulding the vehicle’s contours.
