Grant Shapps named as new Transport Secretary

Grant Shapps has been appointed secretary of state for transport, replacing Chris Grayling.
The announcement was made in the Prime Minster Boris Johnson’s cabinet reshuffle last night.
Shapps has been the Member of Parliament for Welwyn Hatfield since 2005 and served as Chairman of the Conservative Party from 2012 to 2015, also holding the title of Minister without Portfolio in the Cabinet Office.
Shapps tweeted: "Delighted and honoured to have been appointed the new Secretary of State for Transport."
