New Zaptec campaign takes humorous look at anti-EV drivers
Zaptec has launched a new campaign introducing a comedic character called ‘Mr Gaztec’, who provides an amusing take on the anti-EV, pro-petrol driver.
Running across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Benelux region, the campaign highlights the chaos of Gaztec’s home petrol pumps versus the calm satisfaction of charging at home.
The campaign shows how the petrol car - once a symbol of freedom - now represents inconvenience.
“Zaptec has grown rapidly over the past years, and this campaign marks a new phase for us,” says Kurt Østrem, CEO at Zaptec. “We’ve proven our innovation. Now we’re showing who we are as a brand built to last, one that partners can trust for the long run.”
Unlike typical industry messaging focused solely on technology, Zaptec’s new campaign brings Europe's cultural energy crisis to the forefront. Through a mix of humour and confidence, it reflects the company’s belief that the future of mobility depends on relationships built on trust.
The campaign launches from late 2025 and continues into 2026.
