Zap-Map adds Tesla destination charging points

News

EV charging point mapping specialists Zap-Map have added Tesla’s destination charging points to its database, after the network went live last month.

The destination charging points are designed to compliment the Supercharger network and are typically installed at locations such as B&Bs, tourist destinations and shopping centres where cars are expected to be parked for a few hours at a time.

The network includes 22kW, 11kW and 7kW points, dependent on the local electricity infrastructure, which are currently available in Cornwall, East Anglia, Wales, the Lake District and Scotland.

All destination chargers are categorised as fast, with blue icons on Zap-Map, and users have the option to filter the points by speed to only show the 22kW units.

Updates to the desktop map and iOS and Android apps have already gone live and users are encouraged to double check they have the latest version installed if they cannot see the new points.
