Westminister City Council boasts highest number of charge points

News

Westminster City Council has the highest number of electric vehicle (EV) charging points in the UK, which they said shows their commitment to sustainable urban living.

The area boasts will have 2,480 EV charging points by the end of the year.

The Council said that Westminster's green credentials align perfectly with recent developments at Buckingham Palace.

King Charles III has been leading the Royal Household’s shift towards electric vehicles and has already used the Royal Family’s all-electric car: an EV400 HSE Jaguar I-pace.

The closest EV charging point to Buckingham Palace is located 0.2 miles away on a bollard charging point at Stafford Place, beside Audley House.

EV charging points were also installed in the grounds of Windsor Castle earlier this year.
