BT Fleet Solutions now known as Rivus following acquisition

Commercial vehicle fleet management business, previously known as BT Fleet Solutions, is now named Rivus Fleet Solutions, following its recently-announced acquisition by Aurelius Group.

The new brand reflects the comprehensive nature of their fleet management services across all stages of the vehicle life cycle from the initial source of vehicles through to the provision of downstream services.

First established in 2002, Rivus Fleet Solutions now manages more than 80,000 vehicles for over 30 blue chip customers across diversified industries.

The breadth of the Rivus Fleet Solutions operation means it can meet a wide range of customer needs – including Fleet Management, SMR, leasing, rental and accident management – supported by its network of 65 in-house garages, 500 partner facilities and 50+ mobile technicians.

Rivus’ acquisition by Aurelius coincides with two major contract wins – Kier Group and Highways England – that underline the business’ reputation and capabilities.  The contract with construction company Kier includes management of all passenger and commercial vehicle fleet services and is due to go live in December 2019. The Highways England contract award covers fleet maintenance and management services to its fleet of around 420 vehicles.

Already renowned for its focus on industry-leading expertise and customer-focussed solutions, Rivus is now looking to lead the next generation of fleet management to meet the market challenges facing UK operators.

“It’s a demanding time to run a fleet – but also an exciting one,” says Henry Brace, Managing Director of Rivus Fleet Solutions.  “Between Brexit and ultra-low emission zones, many fleet managers are concerned about what the future holds.  But there are also real opportunities through initiatives such as connectivity, telematics and alternative fuels.

“Rivus Fleet Solutions is ideally placed to help our customers deliver on their business objectives by making their fleets as effective and compliant as possible.  The investment and insight of Aurelius gives us even more scope to achieve these goals.

“Our customers run mission-critical fleets, where they need to use their vehicles to deliver for their end customers. Despite their size and complexity, using our end-to-end service offering we are able to keep them on the road as much as possible. Our new name reflects that ongoing purpose: to keep our customers fleet moving.”
