First EV event for East Yorkshire and Hull

A partnership between Hull City Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Let’s Experience Electric will see the region’s first electric vehicle (EV) event come into fruition this Saturday (21st June 2025) from 10am to 3pm.
Visitors will be able to speak to a wide range of EVs and dealers, including Evans Halshaw Fiat, John Roe Group Toyota, Riverside Motor Group and Mercedes Benz of Hull.
Completely free of charge, visitors will be able to book a free EV test drive, with a varied range of models available from brand such as MG, Lexus, Ford, Jeep, and Renault Vans. These must be booked in advance and those taking part will need to bring a valid licence and their National Insurance number.
Visitors will additionally be able to speak to industry experts about latest EV developments, ride eBikes courtesy of R-evolution and Ron Dog, view EV charging demonstrations, and speak to a range of experts, both from private and public sectors.
Councillor Mark Ieronimo, cabinet portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways at Hull City Council, said: “Making your next car an EV won’t be right for everyone but the growing range of vehicles now available at different price points as well as the advancements in battery technology are making them increasingly accessible.”
