Global Women in EV Day to launch next year

A new initiative designed to elevate and champion women across the electric mobility ecosystem will be launching next year.

Founded by EV advocate Gill Nowell, Global Women in EV Day will take place on 10 February 2026 and has been established to help build an inclusive, representative and future-focused EV sector. One where women’s contributions are recognised, amplified and valued at every level.

Amplify and Sinewave are proud to be announced as founding partners of the initiative and have pledged to champion women in EV by increasing visibility through curated events, expanding opportunities through mentoring, embedding inclusive recruitment practices, and supporting STEM outreach to inspire the next generation.

Anne Buckingham, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Amplify, said: “Equity and inclusion are more than policy statements; they are fundamental to the culture and success of the Amplify business, and to the long-term health of the emobility sector as a whole. Throughout my career, I’ve been supported by some incredible women and male allies, and I’m delighted to continue learning from exceptional emerging talent—including leaders like Tam Southworth, Head of Brand and ESG at Sinewave, who has driven our B Corp accreditation and the development of SWITCH, our carbon reporting platform.”

Tam Southworth, Head of Brand and ESG at Sinewave, commented: “Creating a truly inclusive emobility sector requires intentional action, not aspiration. At Sinewave, we are committed to championing women’s talent, removing barriers and ensuring the industry we’re building reflects the diverse communities it serves. Global Women in EV Day is a powerful platform for this progress, and I’m proud that Sinewave is helping to drive the change our sector urgently needs.”
