Engineius reaffirms commitment to fund clean energy projects

In a continued effort to reduce its environmental impact, vehicle movement specialist Engineius has reaffirmed its commitment to funding renewable energy projects around the globe.

Each year, Engineius partners with ClimatePartner, a global climate solutions provider, to fully offset its corporate carbon footprint. The initiative is part of Engineius’ broader sustainability strategy, ensuring the company remains carbon neutral while working within a traditionally high-emission sector.

Chris Clibbery, CEO and founder at Engineius explains: “Over the last four years we have cut our own carbon output by 54,000kg – that’s like driving a petrol car around the planet more than twice!

"However, we feel that it’s important to recognise being part of the automotive industry which collectively produces large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions and look wider for solutions.”

Engineius supports a range of internationally certified renewable energy projects, which align with global standards and contribute to combating climate change. These projects play a vital role in meeting the world's increasing energy demand while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

One-third of global greenhouse gas emissions still come from burning fossil fuels like coal and oil – energy sources that are not only finite but also highly damaging to the environment. By funding renewable energy projects, Engineius contributes to solutions that include wind, solar, hydropower, as well as more innovative sources such as biomass, biogas, and geothermal energy.

The renewable energy projects Engineius supports not only help avoid CO2 emissions but also aim to secure long-term energy supply, reduce dependency on fossil fuels, and support sustainable development in local economies.

Clibbery concludes: “Supporting projects around the world which look to develop and implement renewable energies make us see the bigger picture whilst ensuring we also implement the very best practises within our own business.”
