Vaylens has entered a partnership with Rightcharge to enable automated home charging reimbursement for vaylens’ fleet customers across the UK.
As electric fleets increase, operators need a joined-up way to manage charging across different locations and the partnership aims to give fleet operators that solution.
Vaylens manages the charging network, driver access and workplace charging, and introduces its fleet customers to Rightcharge. Using charging-session data provided by vaylens, Rightcharge automatically applies the driver’s home energy tariff and settles the reimbursement directly with the driver’s energy provider.
The cost of where drivers charge can have a significant impact on fleet running costs. Rightcharge data shows public charging accounted for close to 70% of charging spend across its platform in the first half of 2026, despite providing just 41% of the energy consumed. For fleets able to make greater use of home charging, there is a clear opportunity to reduce overall charging spend.
Russell Olive, UK Director at Vaylens, said: "When home charging costs around a third of public charging, fleets should be making as much use of it as they practically can. The challenge is making reimbursement work across hundreds or thousands of vehicles. Working with Rightcharge means we can automate that process at scale, while reimbursing drivers against what they actually pay."
Freddie Winterbotham, Head of Partnerships at Rightcharge, said: “Two of the leading software providers in charging, working together to solve a real problem for fleets. We're looking forward to supporting vaylens’ customers as their electric fleets grow.”
