Leasing company ALD Automotive and European energy firm E.ON have signed a strategic partnership to jointly develop and market digital enhanced mobility, financing, and energy services. The partnership will focus on mobility offerings for electric vehicles for corporate customers, municipalities and private customers in Europe.

Through this partnership, ALD Automotive’s clients will benefit from E.ON’s dedicated e-mobility and energy solutions to enrich ALD Automotive’s electric vehicle service offerings and improve driver experience.

This will include consultancy, planning, installation, operation and maintenance of future-proof charging infrastructure for corporate sites, on the go and home applications.

A full-service for fleets and private drivers of electric vehicles will be provided. Furthermore, the partnership will jointly develop digital-enhanced e-car sharing solutions to enable the deployment of sustainable corporate mobility.

The commercial cooperation potentially covers joint activities in the following countries: Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway and the UK.

An electric vehicle leasing offer for private E.ON customers, aimed at promoting electric vehicle adoption in Denmark, was launched month which provides EV drivers with access to the country’s largest charging network, E.ON Drive (1,300 public charging spots).

In Norway, where the EV market is developing even faster than anywhere in Europe, the partnership has already launched a fleet solution, which aims to simplifiy electrification of corporate fleets by offering electric company car leasing on the same conditions as a conventional car with a fuel card for electricity.

“Building an ecosystem of partners is core to our strategy and key to electrify mobility. Bringing together the experience and excellence from different industry sectors helps us to build unique solutions for everyday needs of our customers” states Andreas Pfeiffer, Global Domain Head of E-Mobility at E.ON.

“We are committed to providing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions to better meet our clients' needs which includes the progressive implementation of responsible mobility offerings,” confirms John Saffrett, Chief Operating Officer of ALD.
