ITT Hub makes its debut with free to attend Exhibition, Conference and Ride & Drive

Company Focus

Innovation & Technology in Transport - ITT Hub - is a ground-breaking new free-to-attend exhibition and conference, supporting the government’s transport decarbonisation plan.

With over 150 exhibitors, the event will be the largest gathering of commercial vehicles, fleet suppliers and companies involved in energy, charging and infrastructure in the UK for over a year, with representation from across the road-based commercial and passenger transport sector.

The free to attend, two-day Future Logistics Conference, organised by Logistics UK will address the key issues which the sector is facing, with a line-up of key influencers and agenda setters.

Staged on 30 June and 1 July at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, ITT Hub provides the road-based transport industry with one of the first opportunities to reconnect in person.

As well as 70% of ITT Hub taking place outdoors, there are also robust measures in place to ensure guests feel safe and confident indoors too.

The road to net zero

Post-pandemic, the UK economy will take a huge amount of rebuilding. Transport is to play a crucial part in the recovery, and a key role in hitting government’s 2050 net-zero target.

Ahead of COP26 in November, the government has reinforced its commitment to decarbonisation and net zero, affecting everyone in transport.

ITT Hub enables the sector to seize the opportunity to re-engage through collaboration, supporting the Government’s policies of ‘build back better’ and ‘build back greener’. ITT Hub has this at the heart of its agenda, an event that the industry deserves and needs more than ever.

A showcase for the latest innovations and technologies in the sector, ITT Hub will demonstrate how organisations and policymakers alike are committed to ensuring a sustainable future for transport, tackling the rapidly changing environmental and data-driven landscape head on.

Leading brands

Over 100 vehicles from 22 leading manufacturers will be on display – both indoors and outdoors – and in a unique development for a UK show, there will be a two-mile Ride & Drive facility for supervised demonstration drives, enabling visitors to experience the vehicles in action.

Leading brands including Ford, Alexander Dennis Ltd, DAF Trucks, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Trucks, BYD, Caetano, The AA, Pelican Yutong, Dawson Bus and Coach, Fiat, Harris MAXUS and Wrightbus will be taking centre stage, offering the first opportunities to see their new van, truck coach and bus ranges for 2021.

One of the many highlights will be the hotly anticipated first UK appearance of Arrival and Volta Trucks, whose all-new electric vehicles take a fresh take on not just construction techniques, but also road safety and driver welfare.

Thought-provoking conference

The event also features The Future Logistics Conference, a high-profile, two-day conference, devised by and in association with Logistics UK.

The conference will take place in a stand-alone theatre space, offering panoramic, runway views and be opened by a keynote address from astronaut Major Tim Peake CMG.

Participation in Logistics UK’s Future Logistics Conference is free and open to all visitors registering to attend ITT Hub 2021.

The strong programme of relevant sessions, addressing the key challenges shaping our industry today and, in the future, will be delivered by thought leaders, innovators and experts, representing a wide range of businesses and stakeholders, including Lloyds Bank, Logistics UK, Centrica Plc, Innovate UK, Highways England and the RAC Foundation. Subjects include:

  • ‘Public sector support: what help does industry need from government to achieve net zero?’
  • ‘Which business models will succeed in the future for Logistics and Transport?’
  • ‘How to fund the future: strategies for finance, investment, risks, and opportunities.’
  • ‘Attracting, developing, and retaining talent in the Transport and logistics sector.’

Connect with Government

The Government Hub at ITT Hub 2021 will give visitors the opportunity to explore the huge diversity of resources available to support the government’s green strategy.

This dedicated area will see individual stands integrated into a large networking hub for meetings and presentations for up to 16 individual organisations.  The participants will also feature prominently in the conference sessions and a welcome reception at the end of the opening day.

Representing the full range of government assistance available, visitors will be able to gain expert insight into and find support for technical and financial issues, innovation, technology, infrastructure and grants.
