Billy leads Police Scotland’s shift to zero- and low-emission vehicles, overseeing the introduction of models that meet the demanding requirements of blue-light operations while supporting the force’s environmental objectives. Under his direction, the fleet now includes around 800 battery electric vehicles and 250 hybrids. Billy is keen for Police Scotland’s progress in fleet electrification to serve as a blueprint for other police forces.
