Hyundai Motor UK has announced the pricing and specification changes for the new IONIQ and Kona hybrid.
The new electric IONIQ, priced from £29,450, has a larger battery which increases in size from 28kWh to 38.3kWh and a more powerful motor rising from 88kW to 100kW for improved efficiency, giving it a claimed range of 184 miles (WLTP).
The Ioniq has had extensive design changes both inside and out, and comes equipped with a new widescreen 10.25” navigation system with Bluelink® telematics connectivity.
Meanwhile, the prices for Kona Hybrid starts from £22,495.
New Kona Hybrid takes its drivetrain from the proven IONIQ Hybrid, with the Kappa 1.6 combustion engine working with the 1.56kWh battery and 32kW motor to deliver a maximum hybrid system power of 141PS and 265Nm to the front wheels, via a 6 speed dual clutch transmission.
It has introduces the optional SmartSense™ safety packages, allowing customers to choose from a range of relevant active safety and driving assistance systems.
The Ioniq is available from 5th September and the Kona is available from 26th September.
