InstaVolt extends off-peak EV charging hours

InstaVolt has extended its off-peak hours by two hours so that drivers have a longer period to save money while charging.
As of 4th February, drivers can access the cheaper rate of just 54p per kWh between 9pm and 7am, providing two extra hours to take advantage of off-peak pricing.
Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, said: “We’re always listening to our customers, and they told us they wanted off-peak pricing to start earlier and finish later.
“By extending our off-peak window, we’ve made it even easier for drivers to access cheaper charging, whether they’re finishing work, setting off early, or simply looking to cut costs.
“We hope that by making public charging as affordable and accessible as possible it will encourage more drivers to make the switch to electric.”
InstaVolt is also continuously expanding its network of ultra-rapid charging hubs, with the Winchester Superhub set to open in March 2025.
Located near the A34 and close to the M3, the site will feature 44 ultra-rapid chargers, making it InstaVolt’s largest superhub to date.
Designed for convenience and sustainability, the Winchester Superhub will include dedicated bays for larger vehicles and those towing, on-site solar panels and battery storage to reduce reliance on the grid, a new café and 24/7 toilet facilities for driver comfort, and a dedicated dog-walking area and children’s play park.
By integrating on-site renewable energy generation and storage, the superhub represents a major step forward in supporting sustainable EV infrastructure.
