Tesco orders 750 Maxus electric vans for home delivery fleet

Tesco has placed an order of 750 MAXUS eDELIVER 9s as part of its commitment to moving to a fully electric home delivery fleet by 2030.

The order marks the largest single electric vehicle order to date for Harris MAXUS UK.

Deliveries will begin from February 2026, and will follow 232 MAXUS eDELIVER 9 models already entering service this year. 

The chassis cab variant of the eDELIVER 9 will be equipped with Solomon-designed and built bodywork with refrigeration systems from Thermo King and GAH.

Placing this order with Harris MAXUS UK will help us on our journey to operating a fully electric home delivery fleet by 2030.

Powered with a 150kW (201bhp) electric motor and an 100kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the eDELIVER 9 boasts a WLTP-rated range of up to 219 miles, again, making it well suited for intensive daily operations. Rapid charging capability via a 120kW DC fast charger ensures minimal downtime by enabling 80% charge in just 45-minutes; a critical feature for fleet operations.

With a gross vehicle weight of 4,250kg and payload capacity up to 1,900kg, the chassis-cab configuration supports an impressively wide range of body options.
