Volkswagen Financial Services' fleet division has launched its ‘EV-4-ME?’ tool, to help drivers understand whether electric vehicles will work for them.

The new tool guides drivers through a series of simple questions about their vehicle and needs, covering everything from charge point availability to daily journey needs. The site then immediately gives clear and easy-to-understand advice on which fuel type could work best for them, whether that’s a diesel, petrol, plug-in hybrid or fully electric vehicle.

Tom Brewer, Head of Sales and Marketing at VWFS | Fleet, commented; ““The rapid development of electric vehicles, coupled with ongoing uncertainty around the tax and legislative environment, means that there’s a lot of confusion around who might be suitable for ultra-low emission vehicles.

"We want to assist drivers on their consideration journey, giving them all the information they need to make an informed decision. This will help fleet managers guide their drivers to discover whether an ultra-low emission vehicle could work for them. Ultimately, facts and evidence should drive the right decisions and where potential myths over charging infrastructure or range exist we will provide strong impartial advice.”
