Andrew Nicholls is Head of Conversions at S Jones Containers, where he leads the award-winning division specialising in the design and engineering of bespoke containerised enclosures, including solutions for the storage and testing of EV batteries. With more than 13 years of experience across the engineering and manufacturing sectors, Andrew oversees the successful delivery of complex projects, managing high-level client relationships while driving operational excellence, innovation, quality, and performance across all contracts.

Last year, Andrew hosted panel discussions at both the Fire Safety Event and the Battery Cells and Systems Expo, helping to raise awareness of the risks associated with lithium-ion battery fires and advocating for stronger regulations and safety standards to protect both businesses and end users alike.

Andrew has led several key projects for organisations including Warwick Manufacturing Group, Coventry University, and leading EV manufacturers. Following the launch of the S Jones Conversions Division in 2024, Andrew has continued to champion regulatory compliance and innovative containerised solutions that support industries transitioning towards electrification and increasing sustainable operations. In particular, he is committed to sharing practical insight into how containerised battery solutions can help organisations safely and efficiently manage the transition to green fleets.
