Skoda’s electric SUV to reach showrooms in 2020

News

The Skoda Vision E concept is to go into production following an unveiling at April’s Shanghai Motor Show.

Following this, it will be sold to consumers in 2020, with plans for five electric cars by 2025.

The Vision E will have a top speed of 112 miles per hour and it is likely that a variety of battery packs will be offered, with the most expensive providing a range of up to 310 miles.

Rapid charging could also see the batteries reach 80 per cent charge in 30 minutes.

‘Level 3’ autonomy has also been promised, which will see the vehicle be able to drive itself in traffic jams and on motorways, as well as scanning, identifying and moving into parking spaces.
