Burton shopping centre rolls out EV charging

News

Octagon Shopping Centre has installed two electric charging points - the first and only points installed in Burton Town Centre.

Electric vehicle owners will be able to charge their cars in the centre's car park for free for the first two hours in the allocated bay, which allow up to two vehicles at a time to be charged.

Octagon standard carpark tariff arrangements apply throughout.

Cushman & Wakefield general manager, Peter Hardingham commented: "The rollout of these charging points is another demonstration of The Octagon's commitment to provide shoppers with an award-winning service combined with the technology of the future.

"We're excited to extend our already innovative advancements, from speaking with shoppers directly through ANPR software, to now also being able to offer convenient transport technology that supports the environment and the consumer".
