Tata Motors electric bus pilots in Guwahati

Trials of Tata Motors nine meter electric bus is taking place in Guwahati.

It seats up to 34 passengers, and will undertake a seven-day trial, offering free transport services to participants of FIFA team and devotees from Plantan Bazaar to Maa Kamakhya Temple.

This trial is part of the ministry of road transport’s agenda for the electrification of public transport.

It aims to understand the local city requirements and fine-tune to bus specifications to offer most economical mobility solution.

Tata Motors is also working with various study groups formed by the central government to work out various business models for operating electric vehicles.
