Jaguar to launch hybrid SUVs by 2020

Autocar has reported that Jaguar is set to launch a new diesel-hybrid SUV, after an F-Pace based car was seen using a 2.0 litre diesel engine with electronic assistance.

The hybrid model had an extended wheelbase and a lengthened body, suggesting the finished production car could receive its own exterior design. Autocar also claimed that the manufacturer was preparing to reveal a line-up of four SUVs, including the current F-Pace, before the end of 2020.

The SUVs are expected to be designed with an all-electric powertrain in mind, with a variety of hybrid and plug-in hybrid applications.
