In the next eight years, there will be no more petrol or diesel cars, buses or trucks sold in the world, according to a new report.

The market for land transport will become fully electric, according to the Rethinking Transportation 2020-2030 report by Tony Seba, an economist at Stanford University.

In the report, it says that all vehicles will be switched to electric, which will lead to a collapse of oil prices and the petrol industry.

Seba also believes that people will be banned from driving once data shows how dangerous they are compared to robots, The Telegraph has reported.
