Formula E picks up two sustainability awards

The FIA Formula E Championship has been recognised for its efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its operations.

The all-electric racing series picked up two awards at the 2016 BusinessGreen Leaders Awards, winning Sustainability Team of the Year and Company of the Year.

The Awards recognise companies and campaigners working to reduce environmental impacts and promote new sustainable methods into commercially viable propositions.

Julia Palle, sustainability manager at Formula E, said: “We are very proud to have been awarded the Sustainability Team of the Year and Company of the Year Awards by BusinessGreen. This is great recognition of the leadership within Formula E in sustainability and of the visionary solution Formula E is offering in order to tackle air quality issues in city centres.”
