Mitsubishi has confirmed that it’s eX electric SUV concept will reach production by 2020, according to a report from Autocar.

The production SUV will rival the Nissan Juke and is expected to have a range of around 250 miles, the same as the concept revealed at last year’s Toyota Motor Show.

As well as an all-electric powertrain, the eX will feature active safety and connected car systems, as well as automated drive capability.

Speaking to Autocar at the Geneva motor show, Mitsubishi's UK boss Lance Bradley said: "The commitment is to return to full EV when the infrastructure is mature. Full electric power is very much part of Mitsubishi's future."
