Source London reaches agreement with four more boroughs

Source London has reached agreements with four more London boroughs to take control of the building and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

After taking control of the Source London network in 2014, Blue Point London has been working to negotiate new contracts with all London boroughs giving them full control over charge points throughout the network.

It has now confirmed new deals with Camden, Hounslow, Merton and Bromley and has announced that upgrades to charging infrastructure in those areas will commence shortly. The new deal with Camden could be an important step forward for the Source London network, as the north west borough has become increasingly synonymous with unreliable charging points among London’s EV drivers.

Source London now has contracts in place with 12 London boroughs, and has recently installed new points across Hammersmith and Fulham, Lewisham, Greenwich and Hackney.

It is reportedly also in talks to introduce renewable energy to power its charge points, after 68 per cent of respondents to its ‘Populus survey’ said that powering charge points with green energy was important to them.
