Raleigh & Cargo Bikes

Company Focus

Raleigh is one of the world's oldest and best-known bike brands. Established in 1887 in Nottingham, England, we’re still based in our hometown. Raleigh is now part of the Accell Group, a European company that owns a wide range of bike brands throughout Europe.

By partnering with Accell Group, we work with brands all over the world to share the latest knowledge and tech, giving us insider info that helps us make our bikes the best they can be. Cargo bikes are a great example of this, we take technology that is tried and tested in Europe and bring it to the UK, with the rise in clean air zones, congestion, and a huge increase in the number of vehicles on the roads, business and families are looking for new ways to travel, and the cargo bike could be part of that solution.

Previously used most often by delivery riders, new e-bike technology has seen recent demand for everyday family use grow across cities. With 68% of journeys in the UK under just five miles, E-Cargo bikes offer a sustainable, time-efficient, and fun alternative for short trips like the school run or weekly shop.

The Raleigh cargo bikes are available in two models, a small nimble 2-wheeler with capacity for an 80kg payload and the larger 3-wheeler with capacity for 100kg payload. The pro models have enclosed, lockable cases keep equipment, groceries and anything else you want to carry safe and dry and has been the choice of bike for many small businesses looking to diversify their fleet of cars and vans.

The cargo bikes will be available on the Raleigh website and in select retailers. Visit the website for full details, and if you are a business wanting to trial a cargo bike get in touch via email.
