Shell to go ahead with EV charging installations on forecourts

A selection of Shell’s fuel stations in Britain and the Netherlands will be the first to offer EV charging, reports the Financial Times.

According to John Abbott, Shell’s director of downstream business, the UK rollout would begin “quite soon”, but Shell declined to say how many stations would get installations.

“We are looking at how we can be part of the energy transition,” Abbott told the Financial Times.

“There’s not going to be one solution. Hydrogen, electric vehicles and biofuels will all have their place.”
