Mitsubishi Outlander is now the most popular EV in the UK

There were 9,668 Outlanders licensed at the end of Q1 2015, which represents an 84 per cent increase from the 5,273 at the end of Q4 2014. Comparatively, there were 8,274 Nissan Leafs and 2,186 BMW i3s licensed in Q1 2015.

Ultra low emission vehicles still only make up less than 0.19 per cent of total road vehicles in the UK. However, new vehicle registrations suggest a positive future for EVs, with 1 per cent of all new cars having an electric drive train.
