Honda partners with GM to develop hydrogen vehicle technology

Honda has announced a partnership with General Motors (GM) to develop technology for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

The two companies will work together to develop a new hydrogen fuel cell stack and tank, with each likely using the technology in separate vehicles of their respective brands, although official details are yet to be announced.

Development is currently under way and hopes to improve on the performance of Honda’s latest hydrogen vehicle, which claims a range of 430 miles on a single tank and is set to be launched at the Tokyo Motor show this month.
