London in second place for greener transport transition

A report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) has ranked London in second place for efforts in reducing harmful emissions in the capital.

The research sponsored Qualcomm ranked 35 cities globally based on their level of progress in having a zero-emission transport system.

First place was given to Norwegian city Oslo, followed by London and Amsterdam.

Eight of the top 10 were given to cities based in Europe.

The report’s index includes air pollution, carbon emissions, levels of congestion, public investments in infrastructure, green spaces, charging points for electric vehicles as well as incentives for green travel and city commitments to low emissions.
