Renault reach milestone of leasing 100,000 EV batteries

Car manufacturer Renault has signed its 100,000th electric vehicle battery leasing contract.

The company has offered battery leasing since the launch of its first electric vehicle and leased 94 per cent of batteries to owners of Renault’s ZOE in 2016.

Renault offers a lifetime warranty on leased batters, which is said to bring “considerable peace of mind to users”, which has helped contribute towards the manufacturer’s milestone achievement.

The firm will also change or repair a leased battery free of charge, for the duration of the vehicle’s lifecycle.
