Chargemaster named Formula E’s official charging infrastructure partner

Electric vehicle (EV) charge point supplier Chargemaster has been confirmed as the official charging infrastructure partner of Formula E.

Fulfilling this role, Chargemaster will supply wireless charging facilities for Formula E’s fleet of EV course cars, which are supplied by BMW.

Additionally, as part of Formula E’s legacy programme, Chargemaster will leave permanent EV charging stations in the host cities of races in the championship.

Alejandro Agag, CEO of Formula E, said: “We are delighted to appoint Chargemaster as the official supplier of charging infrastructure for the FIA Formula E Championship. Chargemaster is the leading provider and operator of electric vehicle charging equipment in the UK and with their assistance we can further promote the take-up of EVs in the cities that Formula E visits across the globe.”
