Hyundai Motors has unveiled a new fuel cell concept that demonstrates light commercial vehicle (LCV) application for hydrogen technology.

The H350 Fuel Cell Concept was unveiled in Hanover at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show and boasts a range of 422km and a top speed of 150km/h, with its 175-litre hydrogen tank taking under four minutes to fill.

The LCV was designed to so that the powertrain does not impact the load areas, meaning the H350 provides 10.5 m³ or 12.9 m³ space, depending on wheelbase, which is sufficient to accommodate five standard European pallets – or room for a 14-seat passenger compartment.

The H350 Fuel Cell concept follows on from Hyundai’s pioneering work on the ix35 Fuel Cell and continues the company’s commitment to hydrogen technology and sustainable transport solutions.
