Honda’s Urban EV confirmed to be made in 2019

Honda’s Urban EV Concept is set to be made in 2019, with the vehicle expecting to hit the roads in Europe before Japan.

According to AutoCar, the car will make its sales launch in 2019 and is built on a new dedicated electric platform and “sets the direction for the technology and design” of its future EVs.

Honda president Takahiro Hachigo said: “This is not some vision of the distant future; a production version of this car will be here in Europe in 2019.”

The carmaker has also recently announced that every new model line from now on would feature electrified technology in Europe.
