Tesla introduces mobile repair service

News

EV manufacturer Tesla has introduced a mobile repair service to the UK, where technicians will visit customers at pre-arranged times and locations to carry out repairs.

The mobile servicing fleet initially consists of two bespoke Model S cars but will be expanded to to 20 vehicles, including 10 internal combustion engined vans.

These will be available to assist all UK owners included under Tesla’s standard warranty. Work which falls outside of a customer’s warranty is done on a cost per job basis.

Tesla states that over-the-air diagnostics enable it to identify approximately 90 per cent of issues before a technician arrives at a customer’s car.
