Kia Soul EV to complete 2,500 mile ‘Route 57’ trip

A Kia Soul EV will be used to complete a 2,500 mile road trip which aims to cover 57 of the UK and Ireland’s best tourist destinations.

‘Route 57’ is designed to promote tourism in the British Isles, while also highlighting the capability of electric vehicles, acting as an example that drivers are not constrained by range.

The charging stations to be used along the route have been mapped out by Zap-Map, while the route has been set out by Jurys Inn Hotels.

Journalist Jess Shanaham will complete the journey, with will cover a  total of 2,580 miles over 20 days.

The journey will start in Plymouth and end in Galway, covering areas such as the Jurassic Coast, London, Windsor, the Brecon Beacons, the Cotswolds, the Peak District, Loch Ness, the Trossachs, Belfast, Dublin, Cork, and Limerick on the way.
