Honda and Waymo (formerly the Google self-driving car project) have entered discussions to collaborate to develop autonomous driving technology.
The technical collaboration between Honda’s researchers and Waymo’s technology will see Waymo's fully self-driving sensors, software and computing platform integrated into Honda vehicles.
A formal agreement has not yet been reached, but the discussions could lead to a number of Honda vehicles joining Waymo’s self-driving fleet, which are currently being tested across four U.S. cities.
