Delivery firm adds first electric vehicle to its fleet

DPD Slovakia has started using two all-electric Voltia Maxi vans for its urban delivery service.

The Voltia eNV200 Maxi is a custom modified all-electric vehicle built on the base of the Nissan eNV200.

The cargo bay can hold 8m3 of cargo, up to 600 kg, and has a range of up to 90 miles per charge.

DPD follows PostNL in the Netherlands in being among the first companies in Europe deploying the vehicle.

This move is one of the steps in DPDs efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve its sustainable development goals.

The firm plans to add more Maxi’s to its fleet before the end of the year.

Juraj Ulehla, managing partner of Voltia commented: “Our goal is to help companies switch to electric quickly, smoothly, and without disruption.

“We designed the Maxi to be the ideal tool for companies looking for zero emission urban delivery options. We could not be prouder that a premier company like DPD has the honour of being the first company to deploy them in our home market of Slovakia. This is just the beginning.”
