Audi announces reduced emissions for new A3

Audi has unveiled its new A3 and A3 Sportback 1.6 TDI Ultra models, which promise emissions of 89g/km, an improvement on the previous low of 99g/km for the A3 range.

The new A3 Ultra models claim a fuel economy of 83.1 mpg, with an official 0-62mph time of 10.5 seconds for the three door and 10.7 seconds for the Sportback. Alterations to the Ultra also include lowered sport suspension, low rolling resistance tyres and 16 inch alloys.

Pricing starts at £20,865, with the SE Technik starting at £21,615 and the Sportback adding £620 to the price.
