Daimler has launched an internal investigation into its diesel emissions testing.
The manufacturer has said that the investigation has been launched at the request of the US Justice Department, and that Daimler was ‘co-operating fully’.
The move follows the Volkswagen emissions scandal last year, which has placed the reliability of emissions testing under scrutiny.
Since news broke about the investigation shares in Daimler have fallen by more than five per cent.
