Faraday Future’s $1 Billion EV Factory set for Nevada

Emerging electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Faraday Future has announced that Nevada will be home to its new $1 billion factory.

The company had been considering locations in California, Georgia and Louisiana, but ultimately opted for Nevada. According to a letter obtained by The Associated Press, the agreement is still categorised as conditional, awaiting confirmation of tax credits and other incentives Nevada lawmakers approve. Republican Assembly Majority Leader Paul Anderson said: “I’m excited about the opportunity and I hope it works out. I look forward to working with people across the board to see if we can get these jobs created.”

Jia Yueting, Faraday Futures financier, signed the letter on behalf of the company, which informed representatives in Nevada that Faraday Future intends to ‘revolutionise the automobile industry’.
