Model X gets 75kWh option

News

Tesla has added a 75kWh option its Model X range, which will replace the outgoing 70kWh option as the base model.

The Model X 75D boasts an improved range of 237 miles, based on the US EPA drive cycle. This represents an increase of 17 miles when compared to the 220 mile range of the 70D.

The increased range does come at a price, with the 75D starting at $83,000, compared to the 70D, which started at $80,000.

It is also the first time that Tesla has offered a 75kWh battery in one of its vehicles and could pave the way for future options available in the Model S, as well as the Model 3 which was unveiled last month.
