Kidderminster hosts electric vehicle event

An electric vehicle event is set to take place at Kidderminster to provide more information on zero-emission cars.

The local environmental group, Transition Kidderminster, is organising the event, which will take place next weekend, Saturday, 13 May.

The event will give residents the opportunity to find out more about electric vehicles.

A range of electric vehicles, including the BMW i3, Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe will be showcased by their owners - who will be available to answer questions that event goers have.

Representatives from Worcestershire County Council will also be attending to provide information about public electric vehicle charging points across the county.

The event will finish with a parade of electric vehicles.

Keith Budden, from Transition Kidderminster, said: "This is a great chance for local residents to get their questions answered by the real experts, people who already own and use electric cars.
