Battersea Project rolls out 100 smart charging points

A £9 billion pound Battersea Power Station project in central London has installed 100 Rolec Smart EV charge points.

They will be used to provide electric vehicle charging facilities for residents, as well as visitors and business users.

Kieron Aslop, Rolec’s managing director, said: “We were delighted to have been chosen to design and provide the EV charging infrastructure for this prestigious project.

“There were a number of unique challenges attached to the project, all of which were solved by our GroupManager, cloud-based, Smart charging system.

“The charging points themselves were provided by Rolec SecuriCharge units complete, with built-in RFID readers, LCD data screens and Ethernet connectivity.”
