Go Ultra Low launches #FollowTheSuitcase competition to raise awareness about EVs

News

Go Ultra Low is launching its #FollowTheSuitcase competition in Oxford, which aims to raise awareness about the potential savings offered by electric vehicles (EVs).

The competition will give residents the chance to win £750, which is the amount drivers could save on fuel per year by switching to an EV due to lower running costs after initial purchase.

#FollowTheSuitcase will run on 11 October and will see Go Ultra Low making its way around Oxford in an  all-electric Kia Soul EV. Go Ultra Low will provide clues as to the EVs final destination through its website, and to be in with a chance of winning residents must figure out where the EV will end up.

Once at the final location people will be invited to enter their name into the prize draw and tweet a selfie with the Soul EV to be in with a chance of winning.

Oxford was chosen as it was one of the eight cities to secure funding through the Go Ultra Low Cities initiative at the beginning of the year, and it is hoped that #FollowTheSuitcase will create a buzz on Go Ultra Lows Facebook and Twitter feeds to help further promote the benefits of EVs.
