Future of Go Ultra Low campaign uncertain

Go Ultra Low, the joint government and industry initiative to raise awareness of electric vehicles, will be changing its form, as the government looks to include electric vehicles within broader green campaigns as part of its 'build back greener' aims.

While the Department for Transport says that the campaign to promote zero emission transport will continue, it doesn't know what form that will take, and is awaiting for budgets to be confirmed. However, it did confirm that the campaign will no longer be run with the SMMT.

The DfT has said that the government looks forward to working with SMMT and vehicle manufacturers in the future to promote the uptake of electric vehicles, and that in the meantime, it is expected that the Go Ultra Low website and social channels will be maintained until decisions are made.
