The grant from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) offers businesses a subsidy on charging points to incentivise the uptake of electric vehicles.
Businesses, charities and public sector bodies can claim £300 towards each socket, up to a maximum of 20. Applicants must have dedicated off-street parking for staff or fleet use.
The organisations does not have to have a plug-in vehicle on its books already, but must declare on application its intention to add plug-in vehicles to the company's fleet, or that it will use the chargers as an incentive to encourage uptake of plug-in vehicles amongst staff.
The scheme will go live on Monday 21 November.
