DriveNow expands service to London City Airport

News

The car sharing service DriveNow, conducted by BMW, Mini and Sixt has joined forces with London City Airport, to enable convenience for those arriving and departing to make the most of its London based fleet.

DriveNow features the largest electric car fleet in London, with 50 BMW i3s available. DriveNow users will have the opportunity to either leave or pick up a car from the nearest airport to the centre of London.

Upon arrival at the airport, DriveNow passengers can use the company’s app to receive a car which they can drive away from London City Airport straight into the city. Alternatively, members can drive their DriveNow vehicles to the airport and leave them there while they fly elsewhere.

Models available include the i3m BMW’s 1 Series hatch and the Mini Countryman. The expansion to London City Airport also links DriveNow members to international destinations which are also involved in the car sharing service. Such areas include Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen and Stockholm, with in-bound and out-bound passengers able to use DriveNow at home or abroad.
