New website offers peer-to-peer EV charging

A new website has been launched which encourages EV drivers to let others access their charge points in their homes.

Chargie is a peer-to-peer website which puts EV owners looking for an accessible power point into contact with other electric drivers who have one at their homes for them to use.

The Airbnb-style site will see EV drivers connect with each other to share compatible power points for a fee.

Chargie also plans to roll out an app and become “as useful and nifty as Airbnb”.
